The objective of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge, skills & abilities necessary to address the administrative and operational challenges of the fire service in the 21st century.

Upon successful completion of this course, the Student will be able to function as a participant in the day-to-day administrative/operationally-focused process of fire service organizational activities, including human resources management, community outreach programming, maintaining of central recored/data repository systems, budgeting, inpections/pre-incident planning, safety program development and incident planning with multi-agency involvement.

What to expect

This program involves individual/group project assignments outside normal class time with classroom presentations requiring a solid background in verbal and written communication skills. All project assignments & presentations must be submitted at the designated time with all group assignments requiring mandatory participation by group members.

Mason County Fire District 6 requires a score of 80% of better on the final written exam and 100% on all homework assignments and final classroom presentation for Pro Board Certification.
