Course Objective:

The objective of this 40-hour course is to provide the student with training in company operations and administration that enhances the entry-level company officer training course. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to effectively manage; human resources, community/public relations, fire department organization and administration to include; budgets, reports, planning, fire inspection, investigation, public education, emergency service delivery, and safety. Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion, classroom exercises, case studies, audio/visual material, learner presentations/reports, quizzes, final written and practical examination for Oregon Fire Service Members Only.

Instruction Methods:

Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion, virtual classroom exercises, case studies, Microsoft Teams audio/visual material, learner presentations/reports, quizzes, on-site final IFSAC written and practical examination.

Includes handouts, quizzes, class projects, discussion & final IFSAC testing.

Step 1 – Download to your computer the NFPA Candidate Application Form. To open the Candidate Application Form your computer must have a PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader DC – Free Version.

Step 2 – At the top of the application form click on ‘Add text’ and move the ‘Add text’ symbol to the Candidate Signature Line. Type the following, “Your Full Name – electronic signature” Ex: John Smith – electronic signature
